Messy Tot Group is for all children of all abilities- every child (and adult) benefits from sensory experiences, fine motor activities, group participation, and motor planning.

The focus of tot group is providing activities that help children with sensory processing, tactile discrimination, fine motor skills, and motor planning. Each tot group has a variety of stations and process art activities. We meet together for a circle time so these kiddos, 18 months - 4, can work on building their attending skills while we read a story, share a snack, and identify names in print as we see who is here at tot group! After snack, we do a group gross motor activity such as an obstacle course or game working on balance, over and under, crawling, and finding what occupational therapists like to call the, “just right challenge!”

During tot group, kiddos are working on turn taking, sharing, waiting our turn, and motor planning all in a natural, play-based way!

Here's just a small sampling of some of the tot group activities….
