OT OuTside contracts with therapists who work closely with schools, including teachers, teaching assistants, administrators to ensure success and progression in all environments.
The therapists work within schools to provide support to your child and maintain a strong relationship with the classroom teacher, assistants, and Learning Support Team to create embedded supports for your child.
Providing OT during the school day allows your child to enjoy after school activities with their peers and free-time to unwind after working so hard all day while at school. We also provide services after school to facilitate carryover in the home or community.
Parent coaching is a large part of occupational therapy. The therapists collaborate with parents to understand their child’s sensory systems, routines, habits, and role within the family unit. We also focus on co-regulation strategies to facilitate a more regulated home environment.
